DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE

“When the disciples reached the other side, they had forgotten to bring any bread. Jesus said to them, “Watch and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”  And they began discussing it among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.”  But Jesus, aware of this, said, “O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? How is it that you fail to understand that I did not speak about bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”  Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees”. — Matthew 16:5-12

DEVOTIONAL

In today’s society there are so many new religions based off a social class’s needs and desires to have the appetites of their flesh met. So, they seek out to convince others that because God is “love” the Bible’s view of how we should govern ourselves is wrong, and that the Bible is based off the agenda of some individual who is seeking to divide and conquer the world through hate. So they start  their own church which is based off their own fleshly fascination and so called new biblical findings. But, in order for their message to be conveyed over to their follower’s they must first produce some type of doctrine to support their message. So, this means that they have to birth their own bible that will support their motives. My question to you is, “Is this not an oxymoron?” Because isn’t this their premise for not believing in the Word that, “The bible was written by a man”? So, I say to you on today beware of the false doctrine and teaching of men if it contradicts the Word of God. Ephesians 4: 20-24 warns us by saying: “That, however, is not the way of life you learned  when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER

Come join me in the Sanctuary in prayer: Heavenly Father it is once again that we come to you asking that you please first forgive us of all of our sins. The sins  that we know of and the ones that we know not of. Deliver us from under the ruling of false teaching; Father God cut off the hands of the evil doers so that they can no longer cut off our life line to You. Allow us to walk in peace despite the new trends that the enemy has implemented within the structuring of our society and churches. And, Father we ask that You provide us with a smooth transition back into Your arms eliminating any retaliation against us. Father we ask these things and all other things in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
