Seeing Your Child Through the Eyes of the Father

DEVOTIONAL

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

– Proverbs 22:6

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise — “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”  Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” ‘

-Ephesians 6: 1-4

 DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE

I’m writing today hoping that I’m able to encourage the masses to operate in love, faith and obedience according to the Word of God when it comes to how we raise our children. And, to also bring a level of clarity to all parents and guardians, by stating “that it is okay to not like your kids and still love them to life”. When you know that you have done all that you can just stand on His word it will not come back to you void. This week has been one trying week for me, and I realize that no matter how hard or how much you preach to your kids; that just like our relationship with the Father they also have free will. Sometimes we have to trust that everything that we have poured into them with reap a harvest in its due season. So just because you are not able to see evidence of your seed bearing any fruit in this season it doesn’t mean that it will not. The good thing about a storm is that it always comes with the rain, and after a latter rain there is always a great harvest. So stop looking at your situation through your worldly eyes, and look at your situations through the Eyes of God. Join me in prayer if you or a love one is currently going through a storm with your kids.

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER

Father we know that the storm won’t last always, and that joy will come in the morning. Our morning may not be tomorrow, and very well may not be the next day, but we will experience our tomorrow. Father our seeds have not falling on rocky grounds nor in the midst of thorns, but we are declaring that our seeds have fallen on good grounds and we will see the fruits of our labor. Father God we are standing on Your word and not the word of man, because You are not a man that You should lie. We will declare the Word and make every effort to march away from the lies of the enemy, as our April showers will surely produce our May flowers. In Jesus Name Amen!
