Abundance in His Presence

Devotional Scripture

They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power. – Psalm 145:11

I believe there is an aching among God’s children, a hunger for a visitation of God. There are so many things in this world that will pull for our attention. We are in a season of so much busyness and distraction. We run to and fro doing many things. There is only one thing though that truly can satisfy and that is being with God. It is so important especially right now to take time away and go into the secret place and be with Him. Be in the presence of your Maker. Enter His courts with praise and thanksgiving for who He is. Just sit and thank Him for being Him. I had a friend tell me the other day they were too busy to spend time with God. I was surprised to hear someone actually say it out loud, yet how many of us may not come out and say it but live like it? There is joy in His presence, there is peace in His presence. We have nothing to pour out if we don’t get filled up. It is spending time with Him that we get touched with His Glory and filled with His love. We need to deliberately and intentionally seek God each and everyday. Destroy the idols of a culture that wants more and more and sit and soak in the presence of Him. He is enough, more then enough and we need time with Him as much as we need the air we breathe, take that time to enter into His presence today.

Prayer of Worship
Father we thank you for your presence. We thank you that we can enter in to that secret place with you. We thank you for who you are Lord and for all that you do. God we ask today for extravagant joy of being in your presence. We ask for more of you, for you are more then enough. In Jesus Name, Amen
