Don’t Slip Away

Devotional Scripture
“In my distress I called to the Lord;  I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” – Psalms 18:6
There comes a time in your life where you just feel like giving up. Life can be very overwhelming. You feel as if nothing is happening and everything is just going downhill. If feel what you already have is just not enough to fix what you’re facing.
Today I felt like this and I felt myself slipping away.
Having to juggle my emotions, struggling to keep a straight face or smile even though my heart is aching was taking me to my breaking point. My flesh was offering something that I know I don’t need. I know that there’s nothing out there that can help me if do decide to turn and give up. All I was able to do was fall to my knees and cry out to Him, and He heard my cry.
Today, I am resting in the promise that my future is secured is in Christ and I will not give up hope! Don’t you give up hope either. Remember, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Hold on and don’t you slip away. Hope is on the way!
