A Nation Set Apart

Devotional Passage

Moses went up to God [on the mountain], and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, “Say this to the house of Jacob and tell the Israelites: ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself.  Now therefore, if you will in fact obey My voice and keep My covenant (agreement), then you shall be My own special possession and treasure from among all peoples [of the world], for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation [set apart for My purpose].’ These are the words that you shall speak to the Israelites. “- Exodus 19:3-6 (Amplified)

Are you currently at a pivotal point in your life and you are feeling uncomfortable? Or maybe you are in a world that consists of family and friends that won’t accept the “you” that God is calling you to be. Stagnant, would probably best describe the state that you (seed) are experiencing in your life right now. Birds (people) are eating away at you, and even the sun (problems, trials) has scorched you and caused you to wither away. And, I’m sure that you have thought back on the times when you were in the right relationship with God and He answered your prayers. But out of nowhere came thorns (idols, jobs, new relationships) that grabbed a hold of you and choked you out; pulling you out of your relationship with God.

The Father is saying you have seen the works of His hands in your life before; how He has brought you out of bondage and delivered you unto Himself. And in order for you to return back to your place of abundance (overflow) you have to first get back in right standings with Him, and follow His laws and percepts. This may even mean leaving a few people behind in order for you to be placed in your land, flowing with milk in honey. I invite you to enter into The Sanctuary with me for prayer to open your heart of understand that you are a “nation that is set apart.”

Enter into Prayer

Heavenly Father it is again that we come to You in prayer asking that You remove people, places, and things out of our way that will hinder our relationship with You. We ask that You would dispatch Your Holy Angels before us protecting us from the fowls of the sky, and the scorching of the sun, placing us back into our rightful place in Your kingdom,  here now and for evermore we pray, in Your Son Jesus’s name Amen, and Amen.
