“To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a reason for your season. There is a purpose in the trial, there is a purpose in the rest. There is a purpose in the blessing and there is a purpose in the mess. If we can see that our lives consist of seasons then we can embrace the seasons as they come, knowing that they are just that — set apart times for purpose in our lives. What we harvest is determined by what we sow. We sow in many ways. We sow with our words, with our treasure, with our time and talents and most importantly with our love. The seeds of love produce a harvest that is fruitful. We can sow in all the other ways mentioned but, if we sow not in love then the harvest is of no eternal value. When we sow each day we need to have eternity in mind for this time here is very short; in view of eternity. Our desire should be to store up treasures in heaven first and foremost. We should desire to impact as many lives as possible through our love walk in Christ. When we sow love, we grow love. We have roots of love and those roots grow deep. When we sow love the harvest of its fruit blesses not only us, but our family and friends – everyone that the Lord has in our lives.
The seeds of love are limitless, you may wonder what they are and exactly how do we sow love? Seeds of love include being kind and generous, honest. It is forgiving, humble, protecting, as well as trusting, hopful and persevering. I promise you the seeds of love will always produce a beautiful harvest and the harvest is eternal in Jesus. So today in whatever you do, whatever you think and whatever you say may it be done in love. May you see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and enjoy the abundance of the harvest that the seeds of love brings. Love never fails, that’s a promise in the Word, so start today and sow it. If you have been sowing in love then get ready cause its harvest time, just watch how love indeed never fails to produce!
Prayer of Worship
Father, we thank you that you are love. You sowed love into our lives by giving who you loved most, your Son to die for our sins. Please help us to start today being purposeful in our sowing and help us sow everything in love. Let your love and light shine bright in our lives. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
