Reaping the Very Thing You’ve Sown

DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE

“The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people.  Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse among the nations, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.” This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Just as I had determined to bring disaster on you and showed no pity when your ancestors angered me,” says the Lord Almighty, “so now I have determined to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid.  These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts;  do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the Lord. The word of the Lord Almighty came to me. — Zechariah 8:12-18

DEVOTIONAL

The Father has said to his people, that you will reap what you sow. So, my questions to you what good or bad seeds have you sown, and are you upset or full of joy about the very thing that you are reaping? A seed can only produce that of its own kind, so if you are sowing seeds of hate, division, negativity, criticism, or passing judgement on others and expecting the inverse in return because you said a prayer today and you know that God must have heard. Well I hate to be the barrier of all things bad news, but that is not how any of this works. You don’t expect for a monkey to produce a loin, a dog to produce a giraffe, or for yourself to bare a fox. So, why do you think that the negative seed that you planted is going to yield something good?

So if you are looking to yield a harvest that is conducive of a Godly increase than the things that you sow, you must be Godly and not reflective of the characteristics of the world. Let’s break the cycle of negative sowing by doing something different. And this in turn will help to break generational curses and help to create a Godly harvest for generations that will come after you. I ask that you will meet me in the Sanctuary in prayer.

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER

Heavenly Father the Creator of all things great and small we come to You as humble as we know how asking for a heart of change that is induced by a new mind and a right spirit in You. Allow us to have the courage to change our lives for the better. Allow all of our burdens to be risen up to You as I know that You will see us through. Forgive those who have done evil and allow us to do the same. Teach us to love with an open heart and open spirit. Take time for us today to help with all the trials you have set out for us and allow us the strength and energy to follow you as we produce Godly seeds after Him which is in us. Father we ask this things and all other things in your Son’s Jesus name, Amen.
