Devotional Scripture
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgement you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication is from Me” declares the Lord. – Isaiah 54:7 NAS
There are weapons that are formed against us from the enemy. He places snares in our paths and even uses others to get us off course and draw us away from God and towards sin. I have heard many people laugh and say how stupid the devil is and I always get a check in my spirit. The devil has been studying people since the beginning of God’s creation. He was cunning from the start in the garden. He was able to lure Eve into disobedience and she was living in paradise. I am not going to make the enemy out to be bigger then he is but deception is something that he has played over and over again. The Word instructs us to be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). If one needs wisdom, then there must be an enemy that is operating strategically.
The Holy Spirit is our wisdom.
He knows exactly the plans and purposes that the Father has for your life and He also knows the plans the enemy has for your life. Part of walking in victory is operating from a line of offense rather then defense. We need to spend time in the Word, put on our armor every day and acknowledge God in all our ways. There may be snares and landmines in your path but God can lead you around each and every one. No weapon will prosper.
In this season especially we need to be aware of deception. Lean not on your own understanding, then let the Holy Spirit direct and guide you. We do not give in to fear of the enemy but we need to be aware. God’s got a good plan for you life, let nothing lead you away from that.
Silence the accuser and enter into Worship!
Father, I know that You are on my side, therefore I will not walk in fear. You have not given me a spirit of fear — but of power, love, and a sound mind. So when the enemy comes in like a flood, Your Spirit will lift up a standard against him. I know that You are greater than any demon, devil, fallen angel, evil force, power, principality, and rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness, satan, and those under him. Jesus you are greater than all my circumstances and all my reasoning. Because, you’re greater no weapon created to hinder me will prosper, and you will silence every voice raised up to accuse me. Amen!
