Sow, Reap, Multiplied – In that Order

DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE

“Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you.  But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead. When clouds are heavy, the rains come down. Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls. Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest. Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb,[c] so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both. – Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 (NLT)

DEVOTIONAL

My household is a firm believer in casting seeds of treasures, kindnesses, compassion, love, generosity and goodness into the lives of others, but most importantly we are fervent sowers of the Good News. And on many occasions we have sown and the return did not come back from those we have sown into, but you better believe that it was returned in good measure. What you pour out to others, it will come back to you in increased measure. When you give generously, a generous harvest will return to you from all directions. When you assist others in achieving success, you will also find abundant success. The Father has set up a system of sowing and reaping to bless us as well as others. I teach those in The Sanctuary when you give generously of your time, talent and treasures, you are setting yourself up for great success. And this is something that I have seen in my own life and in the lives of those who have applied this principle to their lives. As you sow success, you’ll reap success and the abundant life that our loving Father has in store  and stored up for you! What are you doing to invest in the lives of the people around you? Are you helping others get ahead? Step out and cast a seed, then watch it return to you – multiplied! This is our Father’s promise and blessing.

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER

Father, teach me how to not hold on to my time, talent and treasure because I believe I need it, or it will be lost and not returned to me. Give me the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to know that when I release my seed, it comes to life and comes back to me. Father you gave us instructions in Your Word that we are to take the bread to those who are suffering, feed those that are hungry and to be conduits of your Good News; not just once, but perpetually.  Eradicate the thinking that our methods will bring the best rewards, and bring a comprehensive knowledge that Your way has proven to bring the greatest reward. We believe that when we cast our bread into the waters, it will come back to us. When we display your generosity, You are overwhelmingly generous to us. Our investment of giving will become our greatest investment and produce a favorable return! Thank you for the most secure retirement plan that we could ever contribute to – Amen!
