DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” (Thessalonians 5:11)
DEVOTIONAL
Over the years I have learned to speak life and positive words into my life. I’ve realized that as long as I kept speaking negative things into my life that’s just what my life would be; just what my thoughts were and what I spoke into my life. The tongue is powerful. The main purpose of the tongue is for communication and also for creation. So, whatever I wanted to create, it first happens with my mouth and words. I believe our words can either make or break us. I find that Gods word are very powerful and positively transform our way of thinking and speaking we just have to open up to His Spirit and Power.
My personal experience when I was living in the ungodly world, I used to do and say things that were not of Him — I used to speak negativity in my life. I had given up on everything and I thought God had given up on me; I was broken in my thought and words which reflected in my expressions. But I had to find my way back to His Word and fight. I needed to surrender my life again and keep my mind only on Him. It was not easy. I had to find a ministry were I could connect with the Father again. I had to understand that God still loved me through it all and He had not given up on me despite my circumstances. I experienced God’s work at first hand and watched it transform my mind, my thought process, work, and relationships with people in my life generally. It is very easy to get trapped in the venom of negative words and thinking, especially when we are going through a tough time. We should never except the reports thrown at us, especially when they aren’t aligned with Gods promises for our lives. We must keep fighting keep speaking those beautiful words that Empower, Edify, and Exalt, because as long as we speak the positive Words of God in our life we can never be defeated; because of His love for us!
DEVOTIONAL PRAYER
God, I come before you asking you to encourage our spirit so that we can began to speak positively in our lives. God keep us on the right path so that when we may be going through tough times your love for us will carry us through it all. We all fall short at times, but God let the ones who don’t know you as a forgiven God can get right back on track. Let them know that their mistakes from yesterday, today are forgiven if they just ask. Father, I am asking that you help those who feel unworthy and speak negativity in their lives and I ask that You remove those negative thoughts and replace them with Your edifying thoughts. Father, I just want to say thank you for transformation and thank you for transforming my way of thinking. I just want to thank you for all you have done. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen
