DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE
“Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth! You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.” God says so! “Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! (Isaiah 54:1-5 Message)
DEVOTIONAL
This weekend we started a new teaching series in The Sanctuary, “Spread Out! Think Big!” It was inspired by our devotional passage. I have been preparing this teaching in the Spirit for a few months. Actually, it was given to me while we were in our “No More Milk” teaching from the book of Thessalonians. I wondered why this teaching came on the heels of this a teaching that cut to the marrow and really put the mirror to our spiritual self. I discovered my answer this Sunday as I officially started the teaching. Those messages were cutting away the weeds, clearing and preparing the land for the Father to build and increase our territory as well give us influence to shake up our entire nation and to bring life and joy to our city. No longer can we just sit around or sit back partaking of our Father’s goodness and not share our faith and His glory in a very tangible and real way. No longer can we live in a barren land feeling unfulfilled, unproductive and not producing life – frustration disappointment, limitation and stagnation is no longer an option.
Our Father wants to do a BIG work in you and thru you, as He created you to live an extraordinary, abundant and fulfilled life. But He will only go as far we are willing to go. The tent curtains are your boundaries and walls that surround your ministry, vocation or calling. In this coming year our loving Father desires to expand your territory but, He desires that you set your boundaries wide and your expectations high. This is not the time to limit yourself and don’t limit what God wants to do in and through you. Many times we limit ourselves to what we feel is a viable goal or dream, when God has much bigger plans than we can even think or imagine. He has blessings and miracles in store that go far beyond our imagination, but sometimes we let our imagination limit how far He can go. Do you want to see God in action; do you want to see the power of the living God? Stretch out; don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short; it is all up to you.
I am so looking forward to teaching this series as the Lord has been revealing to me over these past few months that we should LIMIT HIM AND SLEEP ON HIS ABILITIES. Our Father is just looking for a people that will take the limits off and just believe wholeheartedly, follow His instruction. Because when they do He will rock their world and the world of those around them; it requires is to have faith in Him and show up and step out.
This is your year to breakout. Now that your ground is prepared it’s time to build. This is the year to implement all of those things you’ve been preparing and clearing the ground for. So stretch those tent curtains wide to Spread out! Think Big!
