Understand

“Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” ~ John 13:7

There are seasons in our lives where we may feel as if we cannot understand anything that is happening.  It is comforting to know that Jesus himself reassures us that sometimes we won’t understand but we can trust that when the time is right we will.  When we can release the need to “understand’ what God is doing and just trust that He loves us and has a good plan – we can free ourselves from a heavy yolk that we were not meant to carry. Have you been finding yourself frustrated lately with trying to figure out what God is doing?  Today may be a good day to release that care onto the Lord for He cares for you. When you look back on your life to the times where you felt you really thought you had it all figured out, did it really turn out how you thought?  The only one who truly knows the end from the beginning is God.  He is awesome in that He will often give you a promise so you do know where He is taking you. The time in between though often is longer and a lot different then if we would had planned it and yet His ways are perfect, He knows what is best for you.  This life is indeed a journey meant to be lived out in faith. When you know that your Father has a good plan and that He will bring it into completion, that He loves you more then anyone ever has or will then, it’s okay to not know everything now cause you you can trust the One who does. Take the pressure off yourself, whatever is in front of you today do that onto the Lord, “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct you paths.” (Proverbs 3:6).  You may not understand why He said go right when left looked way better but trust Him, one day when He reveals why He had you go right you will be so glad you listened.

Prayer of Worship

God we thank you that your way is the best way. We thank you that we do not have to understand everything you are doing.  We can rest in knowing that you had it all “figured” out before you even formed us in our mother’s womb. Our lives and seasons are in your mighty hands. We worship you to live, we live to worship You. In Jesus name we pray.  Amen.
