Why?

DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE

A sower went out to sow seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the traveled path and was trodden underfoot, and the birds of the air ate it up. And some [seed] fell on the rock, and as soon as it sprouted, it withered away because it had no moisture. And other [seed] fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it [off].  And some seed fell into good soil, and grew up and yielded a crop a hundred times [as great]. As He said these things, He called out, He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and understand by hearing! – Luke 8:5-8

DEVOTIONAL

Why must you mingle with the likes of thorns, whose only desire is to choke the life out of you by distorting the Word of God and deterring you from your purpose? Or even with rocks, who have nothing good to expose you to but rather, everything that is bad and that will cause your life to wither away from your God given purpose? And not to mention that traveled path you continue to take (following after the things of the world), which has intentionally beaten the life out of you while allowing your enemies to eat away at your very soul.

Why won’t you try something different? Something like getting into the Word and seeking out like-minded people who will undergird you in your walk in Christ; so that one day due to your obedience to the Word of God you will bring forth good fruit in its due season? Why wont you start today by joining me in The Sanctuary in prayer?

DEVOTIONAL PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for Your B.I.B.L.E (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) and Your loving grace and mercy. Father we decree and declare that on this day Your name is a strong tower; and we will run into it so that You will keep us safe from harm. We will continue to welcome in Your Holy Spirit which sustains us in bodily pain or trouble. Father, we will only do what You tell us to do, say what You tell us to say, and go where You tell us to go so that we want fall short of your blessings. Father, we thank You right now for placing our feet on Your good ground so that we won’t miss the mar. So today we ask that You will continue to send people, places, and things our way for the building of Your Kingdom — in Jesus name we pray Amen and Amen!
